The RTI2-B Model of Demonstration (MOD) school process was constructed to acknowledge schools for exemplary implementation of Response to Instruction and Intervention for Behavior (RTI2-B). The purpose of this recognition is to highlight and promote schools successfully implementing RTI2-B so their practices can serve as models across that state. MOD sites serve a variety of roles as their work may be used as examples in local trainings and technical assistance, or they may be asked to host visitors who are looking to engage in or enhance their implementation practices. We are excited to celebrate schools for their effort and dedication to supporting the needs of all students.

Why should I apply to be a School of Recognition/Model of Demonstration School?

SOR/MOD Schools are regarded as the most successful RTI²-B Implementers in TN. Don’t miss out on this important recognition for your school!

We make every effort to ensure that our SOR and MOD schools are widely recognized and respected. All MOD Schools receive a RTI²-Behavior Banner to display at their school that will reflect their Bronze, Silver, or Gold status! We also honor our SOR/MOD schools on our website and social media pages. Schools that achieve Schools of Recognition or Model of Demonstration status will be recognized at the 2021 PIE Conference in Nashville in the following ways:

  • School Names and Districts will be listed on the PIE Conference page web forum.

  • A special recognition ceremony will take place during PIE (schools are not required to attend to be recognized).

  • A press packet for local recognition will be provided by our office.
